NutriSystem - Results - Good or Bad?
I am at a 10 lb loss now. Third, highly restrictive diets are bad for your health. I remember when Oprah Winfrey was on NutriSystem. My opinion is if you try WW and it does nothing for you, then you din't follow the program exactly how you are supposed to. In addition to pre-made meals in your deliveries, you get to enjoy 4 flex meals a week. I also feel very good. Not to say other people wouldn't have success

How Nutrisystem Works

All plans come in two variations — for women and for men. Furthermore, each plan allows you to decide whether you want to get the Favorites Pack — pre-selected meals — or Custom Menu — you handpick the meals. We will explore the plans in greater detail in the Meals And Recipes section of this Nutrisystem review. In addition to meal plans, Nutrisystem offers a diverse a la carte menu.

With a la carte ordering, you can freely choose the meals in your order, get as much food as you need, and order as frequently as you want. If you have any questions before or after placing your order, you can contact the company through its customer service or live chat, which is available from 8am to 11pm EST. It is important to note that Nutrisystem allows you to easily modify, pause or cancel your subscription. You just need to make the changes to your subscription before 6 pm EST on the day before your next auto-delivery ship date.

In order to cancel your subscription, you need to get in touch with the company via phone. What makes Nutrisystem one of the best weight loss meal delivery services is its unique weight loss philosophy that has already helped millions of dieters of all shapes and sizes reach their weight goals. The program is designed to help you get in the best shape of your life, regardless of your potential dietary requirements and restrictions and how many pounds your need or want to shed.

However, there are three major problems with these types of regimes. First, if you are starving, you are not happy. Second, if you lose weight by starving, the yo-yo effect is inevitable.

Third, highly restrictive diets are bad for your health. Nutrisystem is the complete opposite of starvation diets. It allows you to eat 5 or 6 times a day and never feel hungry. If you are not hungry all the time, you do not feel like you are dieting at all and it is easier to stick to the regime and get in the desired shape.

Plus, all the meals are healthy and balanced, so you can improve your overall health and well-being while shedding pounds. They are rich in protein and fiber and contain low-glycemic carbs, which help keep your blood sugar in balance and reduce those nasty cravings. However, Nutrisystem provides more than just meals. Along with your regular deliveries of tasty food, you get handy grocery guides that help you eat properly outside the program, plenty of extra information that can help you better understand the weight loss programs, and expert guidance from counselors and dietitians, as well as helpful tools and trackers.

While researching for this Nutrisystem review, we were happy to see that the company has an excellent referral program. Let us begin with the basics. Nutrisystem menu features more than items. The items on the menu include breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, shakes, and bars. Everything on the menu meets or exceeds the standards set by the US government in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Furthermore, all meals and snacks are free from artificial sweeteners, MSG, and trans fats. You can choose your meals yourself or get pre-selected favorites, depending on your preferences. This is great using a Stick Blender.

Tastes like a chocolate shake. Steve, August 19, I am not a fan of artificial sugar. I just began my Turbo Takeoff. I had tried the shakes in the past and did not like the after taste of artificial sugar. It was no different today. I can still taste it hours later. I will try it with iced coffee and hope for some improvement.

I remember when Oprah Winfrey was on NutriSystem. It was played up as the greatest thing going. After being on it for a long time, she came out on stage one day looking really great thin waistline etc. But what does she look like today? I no longer watch TV but from magazine pictures she appears to be quite large again.

In my opinion, it falls under the heading of "fad diet" and fad diets don't work in the long run. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy it for the time being. Just be cautious in what you expect for the long run. Your post caught my eye. I have been on Nutrisystem for almost three weeks and have lost a little over 5 pounds. I am only planning on being on the plan for 28 days with a goal of losing a total of 10 pounds. It has taught me to look at portion sizes in a whole new light.

I have become a fan of sugerfree gelatin and drink mixes. The big thing for me is the mixing of protein, fruit and vegetables in a certain order. I also plan to use prepackaged foods available in the supermarket to replace the Nutrisystem entrees later. I hope I can mention this on this board because something else has become a huge help in logging my weight daily. I have an iPhone and there is a free app that is wonderful in entering foods I eat daily, logging exercise and setting a weight loss goal.

It tells you how many more calories are available after logging lunch or your snacks, etc. It is easy to use and helped me get past a weight plateau this week. The reviews have been glowing for Lose It! That's great to hear! I am at a 10 lb loss now. I am very happy with NS! I really like the food too. I just got another shipment in of the food. Got a free week of food also. I am just finishing up that box and going on maintenance. I have been making some really good low fat recipes that I have collected.

Very high in protein and vitamins. I am really excited about getting to my goal weight by Christmas. Good luck with NS! I am sure you will do great! Last edited by moderator2; at I have a feeling these last four or five pounds are going to be tough to lose. I don't think I could continue on the Nutrisystem food indefinitely.
